Nha Trang is popular among foreigners (both tourists and ex-pats) and Vietnamese. It has been listed among the world’s 10 best retirement cities (e.g. Kiplinger magazine) and Nha Trang bay has been listed among the 29 most beautiful bays in the world (Travel and Leisure magazine). It is much cheaper than Ho Chi Minh City, cooler because of the ocean breezes, less chaotic and friendlier. There are over 100 foreigner friendly eating places within easy walking distance the apartments.
Nha Trang is well known for its beautiful beaches and water sports (swimming, scuba diving, wind surfing). It is a popular tourist destination, both rich and poor, Vietnamese and foreigner, and has a large ex-pat community .
